Discussion Questions about Health Part 2

 We will discuss these questions on Zoom.

Thursday's Questions

1. When was the last time you visited the dentist?

2. Do you enjoy going to the dentist? Why or why not?

3. What kinds of food cause cavities? What can you do to prevent help cavities? 

4. What should you do if you have a toothache?

5. What does a dental hygienist do?

6. Do you have a sweet tooth

Someone who has a sweet tooth enjoys eating sweet things like sugar, pastries, chocolate, etc.

7. What is something children hate doing so much that it is like pulling teeth to get them to do it?

Something that is like pulling teeth is extremely difficult to get someone to do.

8. What is a new hobby or activity you would like to sink your teeth into right now if you had more time?

If you sink your teeth into something, you do it with a lot of energy and enthusiasm.

9. What is something you avoid doing so much that you have to grit your teeth while you do it?

When you are determined to do something in spite of the difficulties involved, you grit your teeth.

1. When was the last time you visited the optometrist (eye doctor)?

2. Why is it important to get your eyesight checked? 

3. What kinds of activities strain your eyes? How can you take care of your eyesight?

4. What should you do if you have blurred vision?

5. What does an optometrist do during an eye appointment?

6. Who is the apple of your eye?

The expression apple of my eye is often used when referring to family members, or those who are closest to us to mean that they are someone's favorite person or object.

7. What is something that catches your eye when you arrive in a new place?

Catch someone's eye indicates that someone or something has gained attention.

8. Are your eyes bigger than your stomach?

eyes bigger than your stomach means you desire more food than you can eat.

9. What is something you are currently keeping an eye on in your life?

Keep one’s eye on someone or something:  to carefully watch someone or something.
